Zoi Hospitals, Ameerpet, took a proactive step towards promoting a healthy lifestyle by organizing a Cyclothon on May 21, 2023, on the occasion of World Hypertension Day. The event aimed to raise awareness about the benefits of fitness and exercise in preventing and managing hypertension by reducing stress levels, blood fat levels & helps in regulating blood pressure levels as well.
Held under the theme “Pedal Your Way To A Healthy Life” the Cyclothon witnessed an enthusiastic participation of over 70 cycling enthusiasts, including people of all age groups, fitness enthusiasts, and medical professionals. The event kicked off at Zoi Hospitals, Ameerpet, and covered a distance of 5 kilometers, passing through prominent localities in the city.
Dr Sanjay Tapadia, CEO, Zoi Hospitals – the organizer of the event, said, “We are delighted with the turnout and enthusiasm of the participants in the bicycle rally. I am especially thankful to the Rajasthani and Sikh communities who came forward and took part enthusiastically in the rally. Hypertension is a serious health issue that affects many people, and we wanted to raise awareness about the disease and encourage people to take steps to prevent and manage it. The rally was a great success, and we hope it will inspire more people to join the fight against hypertension.”
The organization also distributed educational materials, and held a talk by Dr Shishir on the prevention and management of hypertension.
